Web3 Rust Engineer

This role will be integral for R&D and expanding the capabilities of the Avalanche ecosystem. WHAT YOU WILL DO: Collaborate with C-Level technical teams to build proof of concept (POC) features/products while executing the R&D team’s vision Cutting-edge protocol and VM research (applied) Design new concepts based on research findings Contribute clean/elegant code while developing components for high-visibility projects Ensure quality of new concepts via unit testing & continuous integration design WHAT YOU WILL BRING: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science 3 to 8 years of professional development experience Proficiency in Rust Experience designing/developing complex systems and full cycle development Understanding of Go Experience with distributed systems, asynchronous event processing, and/or concurrent programming Strong understanding of virtual machines (bonus points if you have knowledge of blockchain-based virtual machines) Experience with low-level execution environments for smart contracts Experience with unit testing (TDD) Nice to have skills: C/C++, scripting automation (Shell, Bash, and/or Python), continuous integration, infrastructure/systems engineering
