Web3 Blockchain Software Engineer

The Team

The Blockchain team will focus on utilizing Blockchain technology on secured financial transactions to build a highly scalable ecosystem of infrastructure and services. As a blockchain engineer, you will be required to design and develop blockchain-based solutions to augment VivaWallet’s payment services.

Engineers design and implement new features in a fast-paced fintech environment. They also find solutions to streamline highly scalable and critical applications, affecting millions of users.

The Role

Software engineers in the Blockchain team are responsible for a multitude of projects and are expected to be able to work independently, assist their teammates, and mentor junior developers. You will also be expected to collaborate across multiple workstreams and roles like architects, program management leads, and engineering lead across the Technology Group.

Responsibilities:

• Design, build, test, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code.
• Be a team player. Offer your help, listen and seek to understand. Step up & take initiatives.
• Willing to join our engineering team at Viva Wallet HQ in Marousi, with physical presence. Communicate and collaborate with other teams.
• Research innovative technologies to find new and efficient ways to solve day to day challenges.

• 5+ years of experience as a developer in large and distributed application environments.
• 2+ years of experience developing blockchain solutions.
• Good understanding of basic web technologies such as HTTP, REST, etc.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems and concurrent programming patterns.
• Practical understanding of algorithms and design patterns.
• Passionate about delivering high-quality code.
• Fluent in English, both oral and written.
