Web3 QA Engineer

Location/Remote This role will be based in our Malaga Office but can be remote and sit anywhere in Spain. We are also open to candidates who are EU citizens and want to relocate to Spain. Your Impact We are looking for a Senior QA Engineer to join our Test Team at Whalar. We currently split our development team into squads, each with its own product focus: Echo squad is responsible for the core platform development Foam squad is responsible for all development of the new product API squad is responsible for all data import processes, 3rd party API integrations, and data projects that support both products. Currently, the QAs we have on the team is responsible for manual testing of Echo, Foam and API squads development. We would be looking for a candidate full of curiosity who is proactive and with a good level of data analysis and comparison skills. Ultimately all QAs would be expected to be aware of both products and data import processes regardless of which squad they are assigned. Our Test Team is involved as early as possible in the development lifecycle to enable them to work on testing scenarios at the earliest opportunity and to ensure the user acceptance criteria are specified upfront. Experience 3+ years of Experience working as a Quality Assurance Engineer / Tester on a feature-rich web platform Must be able to write and speak English well Understanding of the software development lifecycle and where testing fits in Experience with tools like: browser dev tools, GIT, Postman, agile methodologies Ability to work with both relational and non-relational databases Some experience in mobile application testing - iOS Bonus Points: Experience with Elasticsearch Docker Test automation - integration and E2E tests (Cypress) Understanding/writing unit tests (PHP, JavaScript) Performance/security testing ISTQB certification Soft skills: Problem solver/bug hunter Curious by nature with an attention to detail Self organizer - you are comfortable collaborating with others as well as using your initiative. Good communicator - writing easy-to-follow, informative bug reports. Quick responder - we need to make sure to make things flow through the QA team without becoming a bottleneck. Comfortable with change - we are always evolving as a team which means we need to be adaptable.
