LayerZero The Future is Cross-Chain Founded in 2021, LayerZero’s vision is to create a community of cross-chain developers, building dApps that are no longer constrained by individual blockchain capabilities. We are funded by the best investors in the world including: a16z, Sequoia, FTX, Tiger, PayPal and many others About the role: LayerZero Labs is looking for an experienced Head of Marketing to build our marketing function from the ground up. There will be an opportunity to grow this lean team over time. This role will report directly to the COO and will be responsible for designing LayerZero’s go-to-market strategy for enterprise buyers while also overseeing digital community channels within the Web3 space. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and perform audience research to define the messaging and create a compelling positioning for our products. This includes highlighting LayerZero’s immediate and long-term value proposition and showing how our products will revolutionize the industry. WHAT YOU’LL DO Define the go-to-market strategy to fast-track product adoption, making it simple for our users to understand LayerZero’s value propositions. Operate at both strategic and tactical levels, managing complex products, building consensus with cross-functional teams, and utilizing both qualitative and quantitative data to help drive decisions. Create, communicate and deploy customer insights using customer surveys, interviews, research, and analysis to understand the pain points, needs, and workflows of the growing user base. Develop market and competitive intelligence, acting as our thought leader and expert in the digital community space. Collaborate with engineering, design, business development, and content teams to integrate LayerZero’s narrative, product positioning, and messaging with all aspects of the user experience (including channels, communications, content, etc.) ABOUT YOU 7+ years of professional experience in a B2B software development company 5+ years of multidisciplinary marketing experience (specifically including product and/or developer-focused marketing) 1+ year using DeFi and web3 products in a personal or professional capacity Experience building and managing a marketing strategy and team from the ground up Startup experience in a high-growth environment Familiarity with product marketing, content, social media, and community Understand product marketing best practices and processes including the ability to think through GTM strategy, pick top priorities and projects, etc. Exceptional writer and storyteller - able to communicate with empathy to passionate community members and other crypto/web3 enterprises Ability to clearly articulate the value of a product/service to customers, but also to sales teams in a way that enables them to communicate it to enterprise customers Have experience analyzing user data, customer insights, and market research to define product positioning Technical knowledge and fluency in interacting with developers Impeccable time management skills and an ability to self-direct Proactive with excellent work ethic Ability to work quickly, efficiently, and multi-task Ability to innovate and improve current processes Equal Opportunity Employer LayerZero Labs is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace.
