Tezos is an open-source platform for assets and applications that can evolve by upgrading itself. We are one of the original proof of stake smart contract layer one blockchains. Our proof of stake design means it can operate in an energy efficient manner, consuming over two-million times less energy than popular proof of work networks.

Role:

Our engineering function is growing and we are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team and help build the software making up the Tezos stack, with a focus on areas involving hardware wallets, embedded systems and security. You will be working on the forefront of innovation in blockchains and making a direct impact on the Tezos ecosystem.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will have the freedom to come up with new ideas and put them into production. You will be collaborating directly with other engineers in the Tezos ecosystem and will mentor junior software engineers whilst working on complex and challenging problems.

Essential Requirements:

• Good general hands-on experience in software engineering
• Strong background in C/C++
• Significant experience with systems programming or embedded systems
• Strong computer fundamentals (e.g. algorithms, data structures and concurrency)
• Functional programming experience is a plus but not a must
• Good communication skills and a passion for collaboration and innovation is essential
• A background in match and or cryptography is an asset
