The Role
We are looking for a Business Development Associate to focus on strategic market development and business opportunity cultivation. You will own the early and middle stages of the business development process, and will be actively involved in the optimization and execution of inbound/outbound lead strategies. Your work will be instrumental to identifying potential opportunities across the industry, and in building and maintaining strong relationships with projects looking to build on the Monad blockchain
This role is critical to Monad’s success as it will be core in building and shaping the landscape of Monad’s future ecosystem across apps and infrastructure.
The majority of our team is in NYC and works together three days a week. We are open to remote candidates, with a strong preference for candidates based in NYC.

What we are looking for
- 2+ years of experience in business development or similar GTM role in the web3 industry (preferably at early stage startup) with a demonstrable track record
- Strong communicator: Excellent communicator both written and verbally and familiar with web3 communication >
- Hero for our partners / project: Ability to quickly assess, identify and effectively speak to potential partner’s pain points / value drivers and how we can help
- Action oriented: You are biased toward action while respecting team-oriented priorities
- Crypto native: meaningful understanding of crypto concepts, technical overviews, culture, and industry segments
- Fundamentally optimized: Superb time management skills and aims to optimize usage of time for both themselves and other team members

What you'll be doing
- Managing, evaluating, and triaging relationships with inbound leads as the first point-of-contact
- Optimizing processes and strategy for lead focus, management, and generation
- Conducting strategic outbound activities, initiating touchpoints with important prospects
- Sourcing, identifying and proactively pursuing promising opportunities
- Cultivating and developing expertise on certain segments, such that you can grow into owning strategy and direction for respective category
- Working cross-functionally regularly to support internal teams on BD functions
- Supporting and driving on complex deal contracts and negotiations

Salary and benefits
Minimum full-time salary of $95,000 (**This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary; a final offer amount may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, domain expertise, and geographic location).
