Job Description

Payscale is looking for a QA Engineer who is motivated, energetic, and detail-oriented. If you thrive by working in a fast-paced environment utilizing the latest internet technologies, consider this opportunity as the next level in your professional development.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Create and execute functional test plans and test cases

• Assist with root cause analysis for defects and performance issues

• Perform project and defect tracking for assigned areas

• Work constructively with the Payscale development team to solve tough challenges efficiently in an always-changing environment.

• Contribute to continuous process improvement within the QA team

Qualifications

Required:

• 5+ years in a software Quality Assurance role

• Experience devising test strategies, creating test plans and test cases

• Hands-on experience testing web/SaaS applications

• Have worked with SQL and/or NoSQL databases (MongoDB, MSSQL, etc.)including creating and executing queries

• API testing using postman or similar tools• Agile/SCRUM experience

• Issue/Project Tracking tools (such as JIRA)

•Application Performance Monitoring tools (such as New Relic, and Sentry)

• Great verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work independently and within a team environment

• Ability to prioritize and address multiple tasks in a dynamic work environment

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant work experience

Experience and knowledge desirable:

• Experience with TestRail or similar testing tool

• Automation testing experience

• Experience working with Selenium

• Performance/load testing

• Understand public cloud infrastructure (Azure, AWS)
