Product Strategy - Economist

Product Strategy @ Dream11: The product strategy team at Dream11 is primarily responsible for building a coherent and directional blueprint to drive user engagement and growth. Given Dream11’s steep growth as well as a significant increase in competition within the fantasy sports ecosystem, the strategy team will liaise with the product team to identify new opportunities & optimize existing ones in a rapidly evolving market. The strategy team’s main responsibility will be the creation of long-lasting value. Focusing on macroeconomic analysis and market research, the team will help derive decisions on items like Features, Pricing, and Promotions as well as any other areas that provide value to Dream11 and its users. Your Role: Own the in-game economy and collaborate closely with the Product Manager, Analytics team to devise the strategy for the game's economy Design and implement the economy aspect of features which create a fun player experience, further the strategic vision of the product, and drive increased player engagement and monetization Effectively manage sources and sinks to ensure liquidity in the economy Analyze all facets of the game economy, player engagement, and monetization data at a macro and micro level Research user problems and stay ahead of market developments in the gaming space Must-Have: 1+ years of economy design experience with 4+ years of overall industry experience Academic education in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or other quantitative fields Experience in managing virtual economies working with some or all of the following: probability, statistics, data mining, predictive modeling, experimental design, econometric modeling, economy tuning, time series modeling, multi-stage modeling Excellent understanding of gameplay fundamentals and game economies with a strong grasp of mathematical concepts in gaming Good to Have: Passionate about game mechanics, game economy, accessibility, UI effectiveness, iterative design, playtest, A/B testing A self-driven, responsible, and detail-oriented person who can multi-task and deliver high-quality work on time Advanced understanding of Excel, SQL, and/or Python More on our company: About our Benefits: We offer numerous benefits to every one of our team members a.k.a.
