Web3 Lead Developer (Music Tech)

Sample Club is looking for a technically experienced lead developer (and potential CTO) with a passion for web3 technology and music. We are an early stage start-up with a soon-to-be-launched web3 platform that helps musicians create, own, and share their original samples. Sample Club’s co-founders, based in Los Angeles and Vancouver, have extensive experience in the music industry (having written and produced tracks with over 2 billion streams), as well as extensive music-tech experience, having successfully launched a music licensing platform that they continue to run. They have established deep networks in both music and tech and have previously raised multiple rounds of investment. They also have partnerships in place with elite artists, brands and innovators across the music industry. As musicians themselves, their guiding ethos for Sample Club is using web3 technology for genuine artist empowerment. Key Responsibilities: As the lead developer, you will play a formative role in the direction of the product. You will work with the core team directly to build and expand all technical aspects of the application including: Designing and building out the backend for our app using the Laravel Framework and MySQL Implementing features and page designs for the frontend using VueJS; Working with the UX/UI lead to implement and iterate new designs & features quickly. Shaping the integration of Web3 into our platform’s architecture Working with the team to integrate deep analytics into the platform Automating our dev tools and expanding our AWS infrastructure including EC2, RDS, S3, and Cloudfront as scale problems arise Leading the charge on all technical aspects of the application, including future architecture decisions and building out the technical team Qualifications: Experience building and operating systems that are scalable and available Experience with PHP (or any scripting language), VueJs (or React), and AWS Familiarity with Web3 Comfort working as a self-starter: operating off high-level instructions and refining requirements when blocked Excellent written communication ability, both technical and non-technical Knowledge of technological trends to build strategy. Ability to conduct technical analyses and research.
