The Orchard has an immediate opening for a full-time Director, Web3 & Metaverse. The NYC based position will be responsible for establishing and building a new business vertical around Web3 and the Metaverse, including NFTs and other digital fan experiences. This role demands a balanced mix of creativity, marketing expertise, operational excellence and strong business acumen.

This position reports to SVP, New Business.

 What You'll Do

• Responsible for all aspects of Web3 and the Metaverse including signing new projects, providing creative guidance to creators, day-to-day operations, business development and monetization
• Provide strategic planning and guidance to The Orchard’s label and artist clients on their digital monetization strategy in Web3 and the Metaverse
• Responsible for project management and execution of projects and initiatives undertaken
• Analyze performance metrics to optimize creative and marketing strategies
• Regularly communicate with platforms & marketplaces to understand their product development plan, lead discussions on monetization and distribution, and proactively deal with any challenges that arise
• Engage and build relationships within the Web3 and Metaverse communities
• Be the subject matter expert and point person responsible for informing management and key stakeholders on the Web3 and Metaverse landscapes
• Work with internal teams such as finance, marketing, technology, label management, content acquisition as required

Who You Are:

• Minimum 7 years of experience, with at least 2 years experience working within the Web3 and Metaverse ecosystem
• Significant experience leading the pitch, negotiation, and implementation of project deals with creators and producers in the media and entertainment industry
• Strong relationships person with existing contacts within Web3 and Gaming platform, and creator communities
• Experience managing P&Ls
• Proven abilities around project management, analysis and to lead and manage high performing teams
• Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills, and ability to influence people at all levels
• Undergraduate degree required and MBA desired
