About The Role:

The Onboarding team is looking for an experienced engineering manager to lead the work on our Onboarding products – FastAuth, Developer onboarding, and wallet experiences.

FastAuth is an innovative product that aims to solve a classic Web3 problem - “how does an ordinary person interact with experiences built on Web3 without barriers to getting started?”. The developer onboarding experience aims to further empower new and existing developers to quickly start building new Web3 experiences within the blockchain operating system. Wallet experiences aims to bring the power of wallets and asset management to the common user without the traditional complexity and barrier of entry involved with traditional wallets. The onboarding engineering team’s work aims to empower developers to easily integrate asset management functionality into their new creations.

This manager will lead a team of full stack and front-end engineers, collaborating very closely with product managers, designers and the developer relations team. This position requires collaboration with business development, enterprise integrations and external customer technical teams.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Managing and collaborating full stack and front-end engineers on building Onboarding products and services;
  • Establishing the product feedback loop, cross functional collaboration with product managers, designers, developer relations, partners, and the community;
  • Growing an exceptional engineering team, ensuring the happiness and productivity of the individuals;
  • Establishing and following the minimal necessary processes, like technical roadmaps, OKRs, milestones, regular team meetings;
  • Establishing resilient team culture that can overcome any turbulence without burnout;
  • Leading by example, writing the code, fixing bugs, and participating in design discussions when it is necessary to help the engineers working with you

  • You should be familiar with full stack and front-end development;
  • You should be unfazed by solving problems that have never been solved before;
  • Strong project management skills, balancing quality and velocity;
  • While you should have a zeal for technical excellence, you should be very comfortable with balancing degrees of risk and business needs;
  • Focus on improving developer and user experience;

  • Web3 or startup experience

Here’s What Our Interview Process Looks Like:

Depending on calendar availability, from the first stage to the final stage, we do our best to keep the entire process to under three weeks. Our interviews take place via Zoom and typically consists of the following stages:

  • Internal Recruiter Call (30 to 45 minutes) Meet with the Hiring Manager (30-45 minutes)Technical Interviews (3 x 60 minutes) Pagoda Values Interview (45 minutes)

This is a fully remote role, so that your timezone matches or overlaps with our leadership for this role, you’ll ideally be located in North America or Western Europe
