What is the venture?

The venture aims to develop an end-to-end platform that empowers the asset and wealth management industries with innovative and scalable technologies to distribute investment solutions that democratize access to the private markets.

What is the role?

As the Chief Technology Officer (CTO), you will be at the helm of driving technological innovation in how private market investments are distributed to retail investors. You will own the product development function, drive delivery of the software platform and products, and work directly with the CEO on product vision and strategy. You will build and lead a best-in-class tech team across engineering, product, design, QA, etc. Your role will encompass strategic leadership and collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure the delivery of high-impact solutions. Your experience and expertise in the financial services industry will be instrumental in architecting a cloud platform to deliver multiple products and on-premise solutions, overseeing integrations with external parties and developing applications that drive business value that is enterprise-grade, forward-thinking, and flexible.

Responsibilities?

• Utilize your system architecture expertise to define the long-term platform architecture for enabling resilient, cloud-based, white-labeled solutions.
• Assess existing platform and design, build, and maintain applications ensuring security, reliability, and scalability that best aligns with our evolving business needs.
• Develop data engineering capabilities that interface with data warehouse solutions like Snowflake for data analytics and reporting.
• Make strategic resource decisions, including hiring, outsourcing, and managing the workforce of the technology team to support our ambitious growth plans.
• Provide strategic direction and technical leadership that drives the technology team forward, fostering a culture of innovation, excellence and professional growth.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, client solutions, and compliance, to ensure successful project delivery and alignment with business objectives.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations and implement best-in-class security protocols to safeguard data integrity and ensure asset protection.
• Identify risks and maintain a robust risk management framework with ongoing vulnerability assessments.

This is full-time role based in Singapore.

Attributes?

You should have:

• Senior experience, preferably prior CTO experience, product delivery ownership, having demonstrating technical expertise, strategic vision, successful project management and team building.
• Solid track record in enterprise software development and multi-cloud architecture, preferably in the financial services industry.
• Deep domain knowledge in the financial services industry, with a strong understanding of private market assets, wealth management, banking, and distribution technologies.
• A self-starting, entrepreneurial attitude with the ability to quickly adapt to changes and the commitment to fostering a culture of high-quality code delivery.
• Exceptional communication skills to thrive in a dynamic environment and lead cross-functional teams to drive technology strategy.

Proficiencies?

• Proficiency in multi-cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) with deep expertise in cloud architecture and deployment strategies. Skilled in cloud-native technologies, including containerization with Docker and Kubernetes, Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, and serverless computing to enhance scalability.
• Expertise in a broad range of programming languages, including traditional languages like Java and C++, modern languages like Python, JavaScript, and C#, and newer, performance-focused languages such as Go and Rust. This expertise enables the creation of scalable microservice architectures and seamless integration with legacy systems—essential for driving both innovative and established operations in wealth tech.
• Proficiency in full-stack development, encompassing both frontend technologies (Next.js, React, Angular) and backend frameworks (FastAPI, Node.js/Express.js, Spring Boot, .NET). Familiarity with mobile platform frameworks like Swift for iOS and Kotlin for Android is a plus.
• Strong background in database technologies, encompassing both SQL (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), to design and manage scalable database solutions.
• Well-versed in DevOps practices, including continuous integration (CI) and continuous deployment (CD) with tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, and GitHub Actions. Experienced in setting up monitoring and alerting systems using industry-standard tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack (Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana), ensuring proactive identification and resolution of issues.
