THE POSITION

The Arculus™ team is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Developer Support Engineer to help us build cutting-edge solutions for storing, sending, buying, and swapping digital assets.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

In this position, you will contribute to many facets of the development, maintenance, and support of Arculus Wallet™ applications and the Arculus Key™ card hardware wallet. You will work closely with Customer Support, QA, and the development team. Your impact on the business will be significant as this app is the primary method that customers use to interact with our product.  You will become a subject matter expert on the ecosystem of our platform, your input will contribute to the architecture of future product roadmap features and contribute in a meaningful way to the overall success of new product features. The  product roadmap for future innovations is expected to go beyond crypto, allowing us to build new and exciting products to support gaming, entertainment and innovative decentralized banking applications etc.

YOU WILL:

• Identify, analyze, and repair software defects, and improve the net quality of our software products
• Identify solution needs relating to tools and methods to maximize developer productivity and, as circumstances dictate, contribute to the design, development, and testing of said solutions
• Design and build tools and systems that automate operational tasks
• Engage with developers and other team members to build consensus on goals and the path to achieve them
• Work with the development team and other stakeholders to identify opportunities to improve development efficiency
• Work conscientiously to continue to find and absorb new information and technologies as they evolve
• Communicate progress updates to key stakeholders 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with action request and trouble ticket processes and systems, including Jira and Zendesk
• Ability to define specific customer problems, recreate problem and escalate to developers with the appropriate information required for resolution
• Strong problem analysis, isolation, and debugging skills
• Experience developing and maintaining software in a Linux environment using C/C++ and Java
• Experience developing and maintaining software for Android and iOS mobile platforms
• Experience developing and maintaining web-based software in JavaScript
• Solid understanding of software development processes, including testing and release management
• Ability to engage with and contribute to multiple projects at the same time while managing  time efficiently
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Availability to travel onsite every 2 months for a collaborative team meeting and co-working session

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience with cloud-hosted environments, and with AWS Cloud in particular
• Solid knowledge of blockchain models and cryptocurrency/NFT/DeFi technologies
• Knowledge of and experience with computer networking and internetworking
• Participation in open-source projects or code samples on GitHub and other forums

The work is 100% remote and always will be! We have about six on-site strategy meetings every year which allow us to sync in-person, build relationships with colleagues and break down the barriers that come with having a remote-first environment.
