We prioritize secure, reliable, and scalable solutions, handling highly sensitive data with the highest standards of security and compliance.We are seeking a versatile and proactive System Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in designing, implementing, and maintaining diverse IT environments, both local and remotely, using Linux tools. You will play a critical role in supporting our company's security practices, infrastructure setup, and overall IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Adapt, design, implement, and maintain diverse IT environments both local and remote.
  • Provide simple and effective scalability, performance, and reliability using Linux tools.
  • Support company-wide efforts in best security practices utilizing NIST-CSF.
  • Set up and maintain infrastructure as code.
  • Perform installation and configuration of servers, network equipment, and other IT systems.
  • Maintain and optimize cloud infrastructure.
  • Conduct regular audits of existing hardware to ensure optimal performance and compliance.
  • Provide after-hours or weekend support when necessary to perform high-risk or planned downtime of systems.
  • Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
  • Stay updated with the latest technology trends and best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
  • Available to travel to Bellevue and Tacoma, WA for onsite maintenance as-needed. 
  • Strong knowledge of Linux server administration and networking protocols.
  • Comfortable with: Nginx, Wireguard, Postgres, replication, and Docker/docker compose
  • Experience with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Familiarity with NIST-CSF and best security practices.
  • Proficient in setting up infrastructure as code.
  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CISSP, AWS Certified SysOps Administrator) are a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

Flexible hours dependent upon availability. For this role we are considering both full-time, part-time, and contract arrangements depending on candidate qualifications and preferences. We are looking to fill this role as soon as possible.
