At Mozilla, we believe that the “metaverse” – like the internet itself – should be open and accessible to all. That’s why we’re building Hubs.
Hubs empower communities to gather in safe, private, decentralized virtual spaces where they are in control. Hubs cultivate creativity and connection at a time when online interactions often lack the spontaneity and opportunity to delight, inspire, and build trust between people.
We are currently seeking a Senior Researcher to join the Hubs team who can engage with people to understand their experiences, contexts, motivations, and behaviors in the ambiguous space of emerging technology. We are looking for someone committed to representing users' perspectives to others and is motivated by Mozilla's mission. Join us to be a part of making the way we socialize online more impactful and immersive!
As the Senior UX Researcher, you will own all stages of research projects for Hubs. Working directly with product managers, designers, and engineers, you will be responsible for understanding needs (both with internal partners and external users) and prioritizing research projects. You will be leading and conducting research engagements by developing clear proposals and research plans, which include outlining goals, project scope, target audience, and appropriate generative or evaluative methods. You will be primarily employing qualitative research methods and will be responsible for analyzing findings and presenting them through clear insights. The ultimate goal is to present findings to cross-disciplinary teams and external audiences in a concise and compelling way.
This role will be reporting directly to our Design Manager and will partner with designers, product managers, and developers to bring our customers closer to our development process.
